Use old Rs 500 notes to pay toll till Dec 15: MHA

Toll fees on National Highways can be paid through credit/ debit cards, e-wallet; old Rs 500 notes will be accepted till December 15, the Union home ministry has said.

Earlier, the Centre had reduced the deadline to use old Rs 500 notes to pay toll from Dec 15 to Dec 2.

The home ministry asks states to deploy adequate police, duty magistrates at toll booths in National Highways to avoid law and order problems. -- PTI
