Family, villagers bid final farewell to Nagrota martry Major Gosawi

Pandharpur (Maharashtra): Last rites ceremony of Major Kunal Gosavi, who lost his life in the Nagrota terror attack. Just 32 years old, Gosawi hails from Pandharpur, Maharashtra and is survived by his Wife Uma and three-year-old daughter Umang.

Major Kunal did his schooling from Pandharpur and graduated from the Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce in Pune. He joined the army in 2006 and belonged to the 166 Medium Regiment.

Two officers and five soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred in a terrorist attack on an Army unit in Jammu and Kashmir's Nagrota on Tuesday. Army personnel killed three terrorists and rescued two women, two children and 12 soldiers who had been trapped in a hostage-like situation.
