West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, who had led the agitation against Tata's land acquisition in Singur against the Left Front government is addressing a press meet.

It's a victory lap for Banerjee as she recounts the chronology of events that finally led to the SC ruling today cancelling Tata's 1000-acre land acquisition for the Nano plant in Singur.

Banerjee says the top court order is a victory for the Bengal.

She says the Trinamool Congress slogan 'Ma Mati Manush' was born out of the Singur protests. She said she had begun a 26-day hunger strike that drew attention to the deal.

The CM says she misses Mahashweta Devi, the Magasaysay award winning author who lent her support to the cause.
