Malamal employees: Govt agrees to two years' bonus for central govt staff

The Central Government has accepted most of the demands made by the central trade unions and bank employee unions, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley briefed the media about the development.

He said that the central government has accepted most of the demands made, and the government will be released for 2014-15. The government will release a revised bonus for two years for the government employees.

The bonus entitlement for 2014-15 to be released. Minimum  wage is now set at Rs 350/day against Rs 246 now, for non-agricultural workers.

The government met on Tuesday to discuss the demands made by the central government trade unions. It was attended by Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya.
