Blast at Belgian criminology unit damages building, no one hurt

The bomb that went off outside the Brussels criminology institute damaged an empty building and no one was injured, report Belgian media. 

Reports said a car rammed through barriers at around 3 am local time, with an occupant triggering the explosive device. 

Although the building has suffered extensive damage, reports said no one was hurt in the incident. The police have cordoned off the area and are conducting searches.
