Tamil TV magnate held for cheating

Parivendhar, chairman of SRM University and owner of the Tamil television station Puthia Thalaimurai, has been arrested under Sections 420 and 421 of the IPC (dealing with cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property, and dishonest or fraudulent concealment of property). He will be produced before the Saidapet magistrates court at 4 pm today by the central crime branch of the Chennai police.
