Telangana's deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, who was among the thousands who had gathered at the Indira Gandhi International airport in Hyderabad to welcome PV Sindhu has made her offer that may well have embarased her.

"Sindhu is our daughter and she has made us proud. We will now provide her with an additional coach.

"Her current coach Gopi is good. But we want her to win Gold medals in the upcoming international competitions," Ali said.

The 21-year-old and her coach Pullela Gopichand, who also guided Saina Nehwal to a Bronze in 2012 London Games, have garnered a lot of praise after their Rio show. Sindhu and her family have always maintained that Gopichand is the driving force behind her wins.

The two have in fact said they will try and better their result in the 2020 Tokyo Games.

That's clearly an offer Sindhu will be happy to refuse.
