Afflicted with cerebral palsy and bound to a wheel chair, Paresh C Palichas passion for films takes him to the theatres every Friday to review Malayalam films for Rediff.com. Paresh received an award, presented by Malayama superstar Mamooty, for his outstanding contributions to Malayalam films as a reviewer. A report by Shobha Warrier/Rediff.com.

Since theatres in India do not have ramps, his father used to carry Paresh to the theatre till he passed away a couple of years ago.

Watching a movie in the theatre was hard enough as was authoring reviews on a consistent basis. But nothing deters Paresh from pursuing his passion.

For that and much more, Paresh was honoured at the third Spring Tunes Global meet and the Spring Tunes Short Film festival.

Spring Tunes is a Facebook group having members from all walks of life, from all over the world.

Mammootty presented the award and a highly advanced and motrorised wheel chair to Paresh.
