Army Chief reviews security situation in J&K

Army Chief General Dalbir Suhag and Northern Army Commander Lt Gen DS Hooda on Wednesday visited Jammu to review the prevailing security situation in Kashmir.

The army chief also visited Doda, Reasi and Rajouri wherein he was briefed on the operational readiness and security situation by the respective General Officers.

Two soldiers and a policeman were killed on Wednesday in Kashmir valley where curfew remained in force for the 40th consecutive day.

As many as 63 persons including two cops have been killed and several thousand others have been injured in the clashes that began on July 9.
