Pak 'dedicates' I-Day to 'Kashmir's freedom'

Pakistans High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has dedicated his countrys Independence Day celebrations this year to the struggle for free Kashmir.

Is saal ki Jashn‑e‑Azadi hum Kashmir ki azadi ke naam karte hain (we dedicate this years I-Day celebrations to Kashmirs freedom), Basit said in New Delhi on Sunday.

August 14 is Pakistans Independence Day.

Basit said that sacrifice of the people of Kashmir will not go in vain.

He also said that Pakistan has always tried to improve its relationship with India.
