The minor victim in the Bulandshahr gangrape has moved the Supreme Court seeking FIR against UP Minister Azam Khan and erring police officers. The victim has also asked that the case be transferred to Delhi and urged that it should be probed under the monitoring of a court.

The 14-year-old girl who was raped on July 30, has requested schooling for herself, and security and rehabilitation for her family.

The minor girl and her mother, who were on their way from Noida to Shahjahanpur with four other family members, were allegedly gangraped by a gang of dacoits in Bulandshahr district, on the Delhi-Kanpur highway, early on July 30 morning.

Earlier this month, as a group of BJP leaders headed to Ghaziabad to meet the family, Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan bizarrely suggested an "opposition conspiracy".

"We need to investigate whether this is a conspiracy by opponents who want to defame the government," said Mr Khan, who is known to invite trouble with his loose talk.

"For votes, people can stoop to any level. There can be a Muzaffarnagar, a Shamli and Kairana...why not this? For power, politicians can murder people, trigger riots, kill innocent people, so the truth has to be found out," he remarked.
