Expert committee looking into pellet gun substitutes: Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also spoke about the use of pellet shot guns by the CRPF.

"An expert committee looking into it. This is a matter in which security implications also need to be examined," Jaitley said.

"It's only after the expert committee comes out with its opinion including alternate options, Govt will be in a position to decide," Jaitley stated.

"All parties were of the view that we can't compromise on issues of national security," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.

"Parties were also of the view that the problems being faced by the common man (in J&K) must be looked into," Jaitley added.

"Security forces have been advised to act with utmost restraint,curfew relaxed in several parts of J&K," Jaitley stated.

"As far as lives of ordinary people is concerned, we must ensure that life returns to normalcy at the earliest," he added.
