Just in: Delhi High Court gives interim protection to Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa and two others till 22nd August. Yesterday, police registered an FIR against expelled the AIADMK MP and her family members on a complaint filed by her maid. The maid filed a sexual harassment case against Pushpa and her family members (husband, mother and son).


On August 1, Sasikala was expelled from the AIADMK by its general secretary, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa after she reportedly slapped DMK MP Trichy Siva at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Sasikala had broken down in the Rajya Sabha just minutes before Jayalalithaa announced her ouster, and had said she was facing a "life threat" and that she was being forced to resign.
