Antrix-Devas deal: Ex-ISRO chief Madhavan Nair booked by CBI

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet against the former Indian Space Research Organisatio chief Madhavan Nair in the Antrix Devas case involving a loss of allegedly Rs 578 crore in an agreement between the multi-media company Devas and Antrix. 

This is one of the biggest scams to have hit the space sector of India due to which the ISRO chief Madhavan Nair had to resign early than his stipulated time period. 

The CBI filed the FIR in Bengaluru on March 16, 2015, and slapped cases under Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act in the case.
