Just in: Full security cover provided to Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Islamabad. Protesters belong to religious groups, say sources in the Pakistan  government.

This comes in the wake of Pakistan-based terrorist Hafiz Saeed's threat of nationwide protests when India's home minister Rajnath Singh visits Islamabad for the SAARC conference.

"The home minister is going to Pakistan for the SAARC (South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation) Home Ministers' conference, it's a multilateral meeting, not bilateral talks, terrorism will figure in the talks," said Rijiju, minister of state for home affairs, ANI news agency reported.

Rajnath Singh has already landed in Islamabad. He is expected to raise the issue of most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and cross border terrorism.

Accompanied by a delegation comprising officials from his ministry and external affairs, Singh, who is on his maiden visit to Pakistan, will be underlining meaningful cooperation among the South Asian countries.
