Made long weekend plans? IRCTC has a package for you

With a long weekend coming in the first fortnight of August, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has planned a semi-luxury train tour that would take travellers from Delhi to the famous historical and religious places of Rajasthan, including Udaipur, known as the City of Lakes, Ajmer and Pushkar.

The unique circuit planned for the long weekend of August 12-16 also includes visits to Chittorgarh and Mt Abu in the itinerary, which begins from Delhi Safdarjung station, said a senior IRCTC official.

The all-inclusive 4 nights/5 days package includes quality food, travel outside railway by air-conditioned vehicles, housekeeping and security arrangements. In addition, IRCTC will provide services of tour escorts throughout the trip.

He said a special feature of the itinerary is that it is the only tourist train in mid-segment with an air conditioned

dining car. Travellers on board can congregate in the dining car for interactions with each other while having their food.

The package, which will be available in two categories (I AC and II AC), has been priced at Rs 29,000 for II AC and Rs 35,000 for I AC.
