Agusta scam: After ED, now CBI summons Tyagi

The Central Bureau of Investigation has summoned former Air Force Chief S P Tyagi in connection with its probe in the AgustaWestland VVIP choppers deal on Monday.

Air Marshal J S Gujral(retd has also been summoned by the CBI tomorrow in connection with the case.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had also sent summons to Tyagi for questioning on the VVIP Chopper deal. The summons were issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The former Air Force chief has been accused of swinging the Rs 3,600 crore VVIP chopper deal in favour of AgustaWestland, and had admitted during his interrogation by the CBI in 2013 that he had met middleman Guido Ralph Haschke at a farmhouse party in Delhi.
