Abhinav Bindra accepts IOA brand ambassador offer, Sachin, Rahman yet to respond

The Indian Olympic Association is finally getting its act together. India's lone individual Olympics gold medallist Abhinav Bindra has accepted the offer of being the IOA brand ambassador. Bindra says he is all set to accept the offer and felt humbled.

After the flak the IOA faced with the appointment of Salman Khan, it approached Sachin Tendulkar and music maestro AR Rahman, to become goodwill ambassadors of Indian contingent for 2016 Rio Olympics.

This comes after superstar Salman Khan's appointment as goodwill ambassador created furore, with top athletes like Milkha Singh and Yogeshwar Dutt criticising the move.

Tendulkar and Rehman have yet to respond.
