Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he will resign from his post if found guilty in Panama leaks case.

The leaks reveal that three of his children own offshore companies and assets not shown on his family's wealth statement.

Sharif, however, has maintained that the leaks are the work of people 'targeting me and my family for their political aims'.

On Friday, he said, "I have decided to write letter to Chief Justice of Pak for forming a commission to probe Panama leaks."

"After Allah, I am only answerable to the people of Pakistan," he said.

The Panama leaks have come at a time when Sharif is already reeling from his latest battle with the powerful military.
