Nidhi Chapekar, global face of Brussels terror attack on road to recovery

Over three weeks after she became the global face of the Brussels blasts terror attack on March 22, Jet Airways flight in-charge Nidhi Chapekar, who had sustained burn injuries during the twin blasts at Zaventum Airport, is on the road to recovery.

Chapekar is admitted at Grande Hospital de Chaleroi hospital in Belgium, where according to Jet Airways spokesperson, she was under "sedation for her comfort".

"We are happy she is recovering well. We talk to her every day," said Madhuri Chapekar, her sister-in-law. According to Madhuri, Chapekar regained consciousness a week ago in the hospital where she was accompanied by her husband Rupesh and brother-in-law Nilesh Chapekar. 

According to the Chapekar family, Nidhi had sustained 15 per cent burn injuries along with a fractured foot. She, along with flight manager Amit Motwani, were the two Indian hurt during the terror attack.
