The Rajasthan High Court has issued notice to the state government, Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI), Water Resources Department, Sports and Youth department and Rajasthan Cricket Association asking about their decision to host IPL matches in Jaipur.

The High Court on Thursday has asked for a reply over the decision to shift the matches played after April 30 from drought-hit Maharashtra to Rajasthan, which is also facing water shortage.

The state government is expected to file the reply by April 27 when the matter comes up for hearing again.

The notice was issued after the Bombay High court verdict to shift the on-going matches out of the drought-hit Maharashtra to Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
