Kejriwal vs Jaitley: AAP leader gets bail, next hearing on April 19

Just in: A Delhi court grants bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and 5 other AAP leaders in a criminal defamation case filed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The next hearing is on April 19. The AAP leaders will have to pay a surety of Rs 20,000 each.



Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders have been sued for defamation by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who has filed a criminal defamation case and a civil suit demanding Rs. 10 crore in damages.

Jaitley has accused the AAP leaders of making defamatory statements against him when they made allegations of corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association. Mr Jaitley headed the association for 13 years till 2013.
