IISc tops 'India Rankings 2016'

The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, has grabbed the first spot in 'India Rankings 2016'.

The 'first-ever' 'India Rankings' were launched on Monday, with Union Human Resource Development minister Smriti Irani tweeting about it a day before.

'Look forward to the launch of the first ever #IndiaRankings2016 tomorrow under the National Institutional Ranking Framework', she tweeted.

The Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai has been ranked second, while the Jawaharlal Nehru University was placed on the third spot under university ranking.
