Trupti Desai detained from Shani temple complex

Bhumata Brigade chief Trupti Desai has been detained after she, along with other activists, tried to storm the Shani temple, despite huge protests from the locals and temple trust.

Desai was detained after she refused to budge and said she will not go back without entering the inner sanctum of the temple.

Temple trust was seeking the written order of the HC while the angry locals were raising slogans against Desai, saying they won't allow the tradition to be broken.

The temple trust has decided to challenge the HC verdict, allowing women to enter the temple, in the SC.

Desai termed the actions of police and temple authorities as contempt of court.
