'No upper caste CM if BJP wins Bihar'

In an attempt to counter the aggressive pitch by the Janata Dal-United-Rashtriya Janata Dal-Congress alliance, the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced that if the party won the Bihar elections, either an OBC or EBC will become the next chief minister.

Bihar BJP president Mangal Pandey said, "Though the party has not decided yet to name its chief ministerial candidate, one thing is clear; either an OBC or EBC will become the next chief minister.'

Pandey, considered close to BJP president Amit Shah, said that name of chief ministerial candidate will be formally decided by the party parliamentary board.
