A lot of things are said about Indian women, so we want to know what are your plans for women and girls, and what is your thinking about womens equality?

Answer: Every society has gods, but all societies have male gods. In India alone we have female deities. But yes, over thousands of years there may have been some divergences, corruption.

As far as the government is concerned, for us to keep our tryst with destiny, it cannot be done by keeping 50 pc locked up inside homes. The female population has to march alongside towards progress and development, and the government must ensure that.

Women must be part of the decision-making process. They must be empowered in families too.
