PM Modi in New York to attend UN General Assembly

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New York today for a five-day visit to the United States where he will attend the United Nations General Assembly session.

Modi will also meet President Barack Obama during the trip, his second in two years.

The Patel community which had planned protests against the PM outside New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel -- where he is staying -- in a show of support for Hardik Patel decided to call off the demonstration. They have now decided to welcome him.
