Internet services banned in J-K

The Jammu and Kashmir government today decided to suspend internet services across the valley from 5 am on Friday.
The order, according to a police statement will remain in force till late Saturday.

In a communication to various telecom companies operating in Kashmir, the Kashmir zone police chief, SJM Gillani said, In view of the apprehension of misuse of data services by anti-national elements,which is likely to cause deterioration in law and order situation, you are requested to complete snap down the data services through GPRS/20/30 and broadband in Kashmir valley starting from September, 25 from 0500 hours to 2200 hours on September 26.
