Top global leaders who will dine with PM Narendra Modi today in New York, will be treated to an elaborate spread showcasing a host of festive Indian delicacies. However, several ingredients that will go into the making of the 11-course menu, presented by Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, have been handpicked by the chef from Delhi's Jama Masjid market.

"He bought seviyan, dry fruits, spices and other ingredients from Jama Masjid. He also took some special utensils from Chandni Chowk with him," Khanna's official representative said. While the dinner, hosted at the renowned Waldorf Astoria hotel, will showcase India's cultural and religious heritage, Khanna's idea is to present an avant garde version of festive Indian dishes.
