Hajj pilgrimage to continue after stampede

The stampede at Hajj which killed over 220 pilgrims occurred during the 'stoning of the devil' ritual.

Those injured have been rushed to mobile hospitals and an emergency has been declared in all hospitals. There are over 2 million pilgrims currently at Hajj.

Despite the stampede the pilgrimage will continue. The stampede occurred on the first day of Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice.

Eid is being celebrated in Saudi Arabia today.
