PM in Varanasi: I want to make the poor self-sufficent

PM Narendra Modi is visiting his Lok Sabha constituency -- Varanasi -- today. Highlights:
-- My government's first aim is to make poor self-sufficient.
-- For years we have only heard the slogan of 'garibi hatao'.
-- It is a tradition to talk about the welfare of the poor day and night. But there has been very little change in the lives of the poor. With technology poor can earn more.
-- Rickshaw wallahs are the guide to the city, they make an impression on tourists. E-rickshaws will change the future of Varanasi. I appeal to rickshaw wallahs here, you have the right to be upset with me, but don't compromise on your children's education because of poverty.
-- If we educate our children, no power on earth can stop us.
