Just in: The Election Commission of India has said that it has "no objection" to the airing of Prime Minister Modi's 'Mann ki Baat' programme on Sunday.

The Election Commissioner added however that nothing should be said in 'Maan ki Baat' that may be construed as inducement to voters or having impact on poll-bound Bihar where model code is in force.

The statement came days after the Congress, the JD-U and the RJD approached the Election Commission to seek suspension of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann ki Baat' radio address till the assembly elections were over in Bihar.
