OROP: Govt warns ex-servicemen ahead of September 12 rally

Ahead of the massive rally the ex-servicemen are planning on September 12, the government has warned the veterans, saying such protests have no place in army discipline. The veterans have been protesting at Jantar Mantar for over 85 days demanding the implementation of One Rank One Pension. On September 6, the government had announced that they would be implementing the contentious scheme. However, veterans were unhappy that the government had failed to agree on all the 6 conditions and decided to go ahead with their mega rally.
