First look: Robert De Niro as Bernie Madoff

HBO has released the first image of Robert De Niro as convicted fraudster Bernie Madoff, who conned investors out of an estimated $65bn.

The picture shows De Niro sitting in a chair, while Michelle Pfieffer, who stars as Madoff's wife Ruth, stands behind him. Dressed all in black, De Niro is also pictured wearing monogrammed slippers and an electronic tag around his ankle. Read more
