All 13 accused brought to MCOCA court, verdict any time now

With all the 13 accused in the 7/11 Mumbai train blasts case brought to the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime court on Friday morning, the verdict in the case is expected to be delivered by special MCOCA judge Y D Shinde any time now.

Kamal Ahamed Ansari, 37, Tanvir Ahmed Ansari, 37, Mohd Faisal Shaikh, 36, Ehtesham Siddiqui, 30, Mohammad Majid Shafi, 32, Shaikh Alam Shaikh, 41, Mohd Sajid Ansari, 34, Abdul Wahid Shaikh, 34, Muzzammil Shaikh, 27, Soheil Mehmood Shaikh, 43, Zamir Ahmad Shaikh, 36, Naveed Hussain Khan, 30, Asif Khan, 38, are the accused who were arrested by Anti-Terrorism Squad.

Azam Chima, along with 14 others, is absconding in the case.


Meanwhile, general secretary of the Jamiat Ulema e Maharashtra, Maulana Alimullah Kazmi, told Rediff.com outside the court, "We believe all the 13 are innocent and they are being discriminated against because of their religion, they will get justice." The Jamait is fighting the case on behalf all the accused. "Allah ki marzi hai, hum uske intezaar par baithen hain."

A heavy police cordon has been thrown outside the court, with media entry strictly regulated.
