Reacting to Pakistan Army chief General Raheel Sharif's warning of Kashmir being the "unfinished agenda of the Partition" and the "unbearable cost" of a "short or long" war, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday said no bilateral relationship can get better on the basis of threats, and it was also not essential to give answers to such rhetoric.

"It is very difficult to improve a relationship with threats. Relationships improve with love. We don't find it essential to answer to people who talk all this," he said.

Rijiju said General Sharif and Pakistan's National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz mentioned the Kashmir issue. "India's stand (on Kashmir) is clear from the very first day," Rijiju said.
