Pakistan violates ceasefire twice, jawan injured

An Army jawan was injured as Pakistani troops today violated the ceasefire by firing on forward posts along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

"Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district around 0745 hours," a Defence Spokesman said. 

In another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops targeted forward posts along the LoC in Hamirpur sector in Poonch district from 2150 hours to 2215 hours last night, he said.

In the Pakistani firing, a jawan was injured, he said, adding that the troops retaliated. 

With these ceasefire violations, the number of such violations has gone up to six in September.
