Govt accepts OROP's basic concept, veterans say will study proposal

* The concept of OROP has been accepted by the government broadly.

* Defence minister realised our point on VRS issue. We told the minister there is no VRS in army. There is only premature retirement

* The government is still adamant on 5 year revision. We have told the government that this is unacceptable. We told the defence minister that no junior should draw more pension than a senior.

* The defence minister will be announcing it in detail later today. We told the defence minister that OROP should be implemented fully. We will listen to defence minister's proposal and will respond after studying it.
