Will Peter stand by me in court, Indrani asks her lawyer

According to India Today TV, Indrani Mukerjea is reportedly worried about her daughter Vidhie. She is believed to have asked her lawyer, if Vidhie was doing OK, and said she hoped her studies were not affected.


She also asked her lawyer if her husband Peter Mukerjea would stand by her in the legal battle ahead.

Peter Mukerjea was questioned for 12 hours yesterday and reportedly said in his statement to the police that Sheena would not be entitled anything from the assets. He said both he and Indrani paid for Sheena's eduction and admitted that he was baffled about the motive behind the murder.


On Monday, Indrani Mukerjea became emotional on meeting her daughter Vidhie in a Mumbai court and broke down. As per media reports, Indrani was allowed to meet her daughter by the magistrate in the court for briefly. Vidhie also started crying and hugged her mother.


Both Peter and Indrani are likely to be brought face-to-face, a senior officer said, as police investigation into the saga aims to unravel the three-year-old murder mystery.


Indrani was arrested on August 25 for the alleged murder of her daughter Sheena. Meanwhile, the Forensic Science Laboratory at Kalina, Mumbai, has begun the process of analysing the samples of Indrani and skeletal remains found in Raigad district to match the DNA and determine if the body was that of Sheena.
