A diary believed to belong to Sheena Bora has been recovered by the Mumbai police and will be part of the evidence when the case comes up for trial.

An NDTV report, quoting entries made in the diary, says, "Depression has encircled me from all sides. Disgusting life it is. I hate my mother, that bloody b***h. She is not a mother. She is a witch...''

Sheena Bora's mother Indrani Mukerjea, who was arrested last week for her murder, has allegedly confessed to her role in the murder, says police.

The police says that the diary was found at the Kolkata home of Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani Mukerjea's ex-husband. Khanna has allegedly confessed to his complicity in the killing of his step daughter on April 24, 2012.

Indrani, who earlier maintained that Sheena was alive and in the US, and was not coming forward as she hated her. According to the police investigating the case, Sheena was strangled in a car by her mother, Khanna, and by Indrani's driver.

Police say that the diary, which is at least 10 years old, show a fractured relationship between Indrani and her daughter.

The entry dated February 11, 2003 says "Oh! Happy Birthday to me! But I am not happy. It seems as if I have got nothing in my life. Nothing! My future seems very bleak to me."
