Day 2 of RSS-BJP meet: Article 370, Naxal problem discussed

On the second day of the RSS-BJP meeting in the national capital, discussions took place on Article 370 wherein the BJP said that the J&K govt is running on the Common Minimum Programme. The  RSS has also suggested that the public should be reached out to help resolve the Naxalite problem. The RSS also suggested that the government of India should play a proactive role in solving the Naxalite problem.

The RSS-BJP meeting is a first of its kind interaction after Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister. The top brass of the RSS and its affiliates, the government and the BJP came together to deliberate on various national issues.  


Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Ananth Kumar, Health Minister JP Nadda were among those present at the meeting yesterday, besides Amit Shah.

More ministers will join the event being presided by RSS head Mohan Bhagwat.


Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah yesterday took a dig at RSS yesterday over its coordination meeting with BJP and questioned how it could be called a social organisation.


So the RSS is doing a 3-day performance appraisal of the Modi government. Anyone else want to tell me that they are a social organisation? Omar tweeted.
