Just in: The ossification test on the bones recovered from the site in Pen where Sheena Bora was burnt and buried has been completed. Early reports say that the bones are from a person aged between 22 and 25 years. The ossification test determines a victim's age.


Ossification test is based on the fusion of joints in the human body between birth and age 25. If all joints are fused the person must be of 25 years of age or older. As per experts there can be an error of about 2 years in the age determined by the ossification test, but it is still more reliable than ascertaining the age on mere appearance basis.
