Pipe burst at Bandra, more water cuts, Mumbai?

There has been a major water pipe burst at Kalanagar, Bandra (East). Not good news at all in a city staring at huge water cuts.

Following a poor monsoon, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is likely to continue with water cuts in the city until July 2016.

The city is currently facing a 15 per cent water deficit, which has forced the civic body to continue with the water cuts. The civic body had imposed a 20 per cent water cut on residential properties and 50 per cent cut on commercial establishments at the end of August.
