Govt to issue notification on OROP after Bihar polls

In good news for defence veterans, the defence ministry will issue a long awaited notification to clarify the modalities of One Rank One Pension scheme after Bihar Assembly elections, said sources today. The notification is set to be issued before Diwali. The notification was scuttled by the Election Commission keeping in mind the five-phased Bihar polls.

Veterans have been on a 133 day relay hunger strike at Delhi's Jantar Mantar demanding the implementation of One Rank One Pension at the earliest.
