Geeta will be under the care of the external affairs ministry till the DNA tests are conducted and the results available. Geeta, who has lived in Pakistan ever since she accidentally crossed the
border as a child 14 years ago, identified her father, step-mother and siblings
from one of many photographs sent to her by the Indian High Commission
in Islamabad, last month. External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted her welcome to
Geeta, saying, "Geeta - Welcome home our daughter."
Her brother and brother-in-law were at the airport to receive her, but is unlikely to have met her since she was cocooned by Indian and Pakistani officials at the Delhi airport.
