Returning to the Geeta story, the young woman who reached New Delhi this morning, and meet External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj thereafter told her, "My heart has always been in India."   Geeta will be in the care of the government till her DNA matches that of her Indian family. Shortly after she reached the hotel in Delhi where she is staying, officials from AIIMS took her DNA samples, which will then be matched with her family.

Shashi Tharoor ‏and Omar Abdullah tweet in quick succession.

@ShashiTharoor  In all the euphoria over the return of #Geeta let us not forget to thank Bilqees Edhi, the real-life Pakistani Bajrangi Bhaijaan,&her family.

@abdullah_omar:  Credit where due, well done script writers of #BajrangiBhaijaan without whom "our daughter" #Geeta would have spent many more yrs forgotten.
