2 dead, 9 injured as cab slips off in Kashmir

Two persons were killed and nine others were injured today when a cab slipped off from a road in Uri area of Baramulla district in Kashmir, police

said.

The vehicle, which was on its way from Uri town to Machikrand, 102 kms from here, slipped off the road resulting in the death of two persons and injuries to nine others, a police official said.

The deceased have been identified as -- Karim Hussain (75) and Mohammad Rafiq (25) -- both local residents, the official said.

The injured were taken to sub-district hospital Uri, where doctors referred seven persons to District Hospital Baramulla, he said.
