The Udyami Yubak Brinda Durga Puja, just off Joy Mitra street in north Kolkata, has been largely unremarkable in its 27 years of existence. Much like many of the thousands of small-budget puja committees in West Bengal, the paara (community) puja relied largely on the donations of local households.
