The Supreme Court on Friday rejected the bail plea of Mohammed Nisham in the Chandrabose murder case.

The apex court, while rejecting the bail plea, said that Nisham did not value the life of poor people.

"The accused does not value lives of the destitutes. Arrogance and impudence were observed in him," the bench stated.

SC also observed that Nisham's criminal background and the statements of witnesses are against him.

The top court has also instructed the trial court to pronounce the verdict in three months.

Nisham had allegedly in an inebriated state, assaulted the security guard, Chandrabose, and later rammed him with his Hummer vehicle, following an argument over delay in opening the gate at a posh residential township in Thrissur, on January 29.

On February 16, Chandrabose succumbed to injuries at the hospital, following which Nisham was booked with murder charges.
