Azam Khan: Want UN to intervene on Muslim exploitation in India

Samajwadi Party leader and Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan writes to UN Gen Secretary Ban Ki-moon, explaining the condition of Muslims in India and seeking his intervention.

Talking to media persons, Khan said: "We are not against India, but we are officially appealing to the UN gen secy to give us time."

"We have demanded that weak Muslims are being exploited and the language being used is not heard even in savage society."

"When the law is not being followed in our own country, then what will others give us."

"Why only beef? Why not ban goats and chicken? Don't they also feel pain?"

"The government has a responsibility to ensure that justice is done."

"If my complicity is proved in Muzaffarnagar riots then give me capital punishment."

"Money is a small compensation for the life lost."

"If the PM does not like the help given by UP government, then he can telephone us. We will ask for alms, collect money for the victim."
